Every swimmer did us proud and when results were averaged across the 14 schools, Greythorn came out on top, winning the District Swimming Shield for the third year in a row.
Monday was a perfect day for the District Swimming sports. Congratulations to all our swimmers! They did a superb job in the pool, with some outstanding individual performances along with great team support. The ideal conditions suited our swimmers, culminating in Greythorn being placed first overall from 14 other schools. Sincere thanks to the many parents who were on hand to cheer on our team to victory. Congratulations to all members of the team and to Daniel Zito for organising and managing our team. Thanks also to Steve Pertz for his assistance at the pool on Monday. It was great to see Daniel and Steve continue the tradition of leaping into the pool when Greythorn was announced as the winning school! We now have a number of students who will compete at Divisional level on Thursday 26th February at the Monash Aquatic Centre. We wish these students all the best.
