Thinkers of the World Unite
This is the host blog for a thinking community of open minded and thought provoking students.
Students contributing will be part of a vibrant Web 2.0 community committed to expanding their minds through the use of philisophical questions presented in a variety of forms. The questions are usually presented as part of a video link, that can be watched individually or in a group. Some questions are more abstract thinking where concepts are drawn together by students. They may also be presented through websites or quotes, it depends on the focus.
We hope to expand everyone’s ability to analyse and elaborate on questions that affect all of us.
By connecting to this blog we will create a community of thinkers. You will be able to read the entries of other students and discuss them in your class. As the blogs evolve and you improve your individual ability to analyse questions, the community will continue to expand your ideas. This is a key concept of the Web 2.0 community, to engage a wide audience that communicate and expand on each others ideas.
Let us begin with a philosophical saying: "If a man who cannot count finds a four-leaf clover, is he lucky? " ~Stanislaw J. Lec
Student musings on these questions will be linked to their classroom blogs.
